This site claims to be creating a Cappi guide.  Keep your eye on it! http://www.visionaryplants.com/live_plant_grow_guides.htm

Ratsch's Encyclopedia of Psychoactive Plants says that Banisteriopsis caapi caupari, aka 'tara yahe' is a South American vine which blooms in January; it rarely sets seeds.  It has a knotty stem and is more potent than B. caapi tukonka, which has smooth stems.
The plant is propagated with cuttings:  the branch tips are cut and kept in water until roots appear, and then are planted into wet compost and watered profusely.  It likes to be kept moist, and will not tolerate frost.  If it actually flowers, it will produce seeds like those of the maple tree.
The bark, stems, and dried leaves are psychoactive; they contain indole B-carboline alkaloids.  The roots have the most harmine.  The entire plant is a
potent MAO-A inhibitor, which allows DMT to pass across the blood-brain barrier.  Both harmine and Harmaline are MOA-I.
The effects of Caapi resemble hashish inebriation, and results in a huge hangover.  Caapi is added to Ayahuasca drinks.  Caapi lowers blood pressure into the low 80's.  Bad effects include vomiting and diahrea.  All effects wear off in half an hour.
Banisteropsis acanthocarpa [muricata/argentea] grows in Equador, Guatemala, and in southern Mexico.  It contains B-carbolines, and also DMT in the leaves.

Pacari, the FBI raided BBB and closed their business the other day.  Better go to Erowid to see if Caapi is legal to possess.  The info about BBB is in General info by The Man, and the post is major serious problem.

Thanks Grandma - I've been reading that post with anger for two days now!!!!  They are legal to possess.  I have two of them now and checked before i bought them.  They are wonderful plants - if you don't have one - get one!  Peace.
